Position Summary
We're looking for a Credit Analyst to join our team and handle the initial underwrite of loan files. This role is key in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth flow through the underwriting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the initial underwrite of mortgage loan files.
  • Review credit documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify missing or incorrect information and communicate with team members to resolve.
  • Ensure files meet compliance and company standards before moving forward.
  • Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and other departments to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Track and document all findings clearly and consistently.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review documentation thoroughly.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with standard computer tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Encompass experience preferred.

Specific Qualifications

  • Prior experience in mortgage processing or underwriting.
  • Knowledge of Encompass or other mortgage loan origination systems.
  • Understanding of mortgage compliance, loan documentation, and investor guidelines.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the mortgage industry or related financial services field.
