Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance capabilities in support of DAF CLOUDworks at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) in Wright Patterson AFB, OH. DAF CLOUDworks is a rapidly growing secure cloud program that encompasses 10+ teams. These teams span all different areas of cloud engineering including information security, infrastructure development, and cloud migration. You will be an active part of one of these teams providing technical support of customers leveraging DAF CLOUDworks. Along with operations and sustainment, DAF CLOUDworks focuses on modifying and enhancing offerings to implement new requirements, enhance functionality, increase efficiency, or lower operating/deployment. Successful candidates should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be primarily focused on supporting a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB once properly cleared to support mission critical needs.

This position may be filled at a level 2 or level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a Cloud Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline with 2 years of experience OR Master's degree with 0 years of experience OR a high school diploma or GED equivalent with 6 years of experience
• U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance
• Able to obtain IAT Level II certification such as Security+ within 60 days
• Technical knowledge of infrastructure components, including network, storage, Linux/Windows, and IT security concepts
• Working knowledge and/or familiarity with Cloud-based technologies (AWS Platform, Azure Platform, Google Cloud)
• Experience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles, practices and tools (Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), or DevSecOps

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience OR a high school diploma or GED equivalent with 9 years of experience
• U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance
• Able to obtain IAT Level II certification such as Security+ within 60 days
• Technical knowledge of infrastructure components, including network, storage, Linux/Windows, and IT security concepts
• Working knowledge and/or familiarity with Cloud-based technologies (AWS Platform, Azure Platform, Google Cloud)
• Experience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles, practices and tools (Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), or DevSecOps

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fundamental cloud certifications such as:
• AWS Platform (Cloud Practitioner or higher certification)
• Azure Platform (Azure Fundamentals or higher certification)
• Experience with VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG), Rancher, or similar DevOps architectures
• Experience with scripting, particularly in Python or Bash
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledgeable in development of CI/CD Pipelines
• Expertise leveraging git for code management (ArgoCD, Flux, Gitlab)
• Experience with administering cloud-based networking (ACL, Security Groups, WAF)
• Demonstrated experience in cloud adoption, environment prototyping, and data migration
• Knowledge of account management solutions (RBAC, AWS IAM, Azure AD)

Primary Level Salary Range: $81, $121,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $100, $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
