Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook and Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation and ensuring that all food is prepared according to our high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a passion for food service and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Duties

  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure the health of all patrons.
  • Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives, mixers, and ovens.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
