Description:
Are you a seasoned, strategic leader ready to take on a pivotal role in advancing our nation's space capabilities? The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) is searching for an expert manager to serve as the Division Chief for the Management Operations Division. This isn't just a management job; it's an opportunity to provide high-level direction and vision for a diverse, geographically separated directorate responsible for cutting-edge space and missile systems. A significant part of your responsibility will be to mentor and guide your subordinate supervisors, appraise their performance, and serve as the final decision-maker on complex work problems and personnel matters. Beyond internal management, you will act as a key representative for the directorate, establishing and maintaining crucial relationships with commanders, directors, and key customers to assess satisfaction and resolve significant challenges. If you are a master of organizational dynamics who excels at translating high-level objectives into concrete action and building a culture of excellence, this is your chance to make a lasting impact on the future of our national security in space.

They must possess exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize complex information into high-level briefings and reports suitable for top management. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have a strong command of safety and security regulations, a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
