About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Administrative Assistant
to support our Membership Department at a mission-driven nonprofit organization. This is a
fully in-office
position based in Silver Spring, MD, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about supporting member engagement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Membership Department, including scheduling, correspondence, and data entry.
  • Assist with member communications, renewals, and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate membership records and databases.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Coordinate logistics for membership events and meetings.
  • Respond to member inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional projects and collaborate with other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of
    3 years of administrative experience
    , preferably in a nonprofit or membership-based organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/database systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
