Job Objective: 

  • The BCBA will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis. 
  • The BCBA will conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify specific behavior challenges and skill deficits. Based on these assessments, you will develop comprehensive treatment plans that target specific goals and objectives. 
  • As a BCBA Program Manager, you will play a critical role in implementing behavior intervention strategies.
  • The BCBA will provide ongoing support and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) as it relates to the implementation and documentation associated with Treatment and Behavior Support Plans. 
  • The BCBA will also provide supervision and oversee the programming of the Program Coordinator (BCBA Trainee) as it relates to the implementation and documentation associated with Treatment and Behavior Support Plans.

Day-to-Day:

  • Assist in implementing initial assessments for new client referrals and identify appropriate treatment plan goals for skill acquisition and behavior reduction. 
  • Manage a caseload of clients and lead a team of Registered Behavior Technicians who will be responsible for direct implementation of the treatment plans.
  • Oversee program development and staff training for assigned clients.
  • Assess, develop, and monitor behavior and treatment plan implementation based on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Assist in the hiring and training process for new BCBAs, Registered Behavior Technicians, and supplemental staff.
  • Conduct parent and caregiver training on ABA principles and personalized goals identified for client-specific interventions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other relevant professionals involved in client treatment including teachers, OTs, SLPs, counselors, etc. 
  • Conduct necessary behavioral assessments for assigned clients including skill assessments, functional behavior assessments, functional analysis, and preference assessments. 
  • Create detailed behavior analytic program notes and billing notes consistently and within a timely manner. 
  • Provide behavior support for clients who engage in disruptive and dangerous maladaptive behavior. 
  • Ensure that all practices and professional behavior adhere to the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts.
  • Provide supervision for RBTs and BCBA/BCABA trainees and take an 8 hour-supervision training required to provide supervision.
  • Maintain credentials by attending CEU training to meet requirements and meet renewal deadlines. 
  • Provide supervision and clinical oversight for clients across a variety of settings including clinic, home, school, and community. 
  • Maintain professional working relationships with other professionals, including schools to continue to build networks and relationships. 

Keep up to date with new and developing methods, techniques, and changes in the field of Behavior Analysis. 

Requirements

  • Master's Degree with Current BCBA certification.
  • Certified as a BCBA with a minimum of 2 years of experience with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of Experience in an ABA program setting up and directing programs for children with Autism.
  • Supervisory experience with staff and training.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Ability to work with various clients regarding age, functionality, and minimal support.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple program development activities.
  • Motivated and Self-starter.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds: upper body leverage strength required.
  • Bending, standing, and sitting for long periods.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds and up to 50 pounds: upper body leverage strength required.
  • Bending, standing, and sitting for long periods.
  • Ability to walk frequently, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. 
  • Ability to run short distances. 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis - behavior analysts are familiar with behavioral assessments and understand the ways that behavioral programs are developed and implemented.
  • Writing skills - because they frequently draft reports and write-ups, behavior analysts need strong writing skills to convey detailed information about their client's progress and behaviors.
  • Communication skills - behavior analysts possess strong communication skills that let them build rapport with others and work collaboratively to reach specified goals.
  • Experience working with children - behavior analysts understand the needs of children and remain patient and professional during disruptive or dangerous maladaptive behavior or other stressful situations.
  • Individualized education experience - behavior analysts understand individualized education programs (IEPs) and use strategies to work toward each client's IEP goals.

Work Schedule/Travel:

  • Full-Time
  • Monday-Friday, 40+ hours per week
  • On-Call

Work Environment: 

  • ABA clinic, client homes, schools, and community based on client needs. 
  • Local travel.
