Ocotillo is looking for a new line cook kitchen team member to join our team year-round

Required availability: Thursday - Monday.

The focus is Dinner service. Once ready there will be a need to be cross-trained on our All-Day menu.

Ocotillo opened its doors in April 2024 in Portland's West End Neighborhood. We offer breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner 7-days a week that has roots from sibling restaurant, Terlingua BBQ and Terlingua Outpost located in the East End.

We operate a scratch kitchen- Our salsas, sauces, stocks are all made in house. We smoke our meats used in a variety of dishes such as breakfast tacos and "taco-night" on the line from a wood-fired smoker.

Our compensation philosophy at Ocotillo is a full-house tip pool model. This is where each hourly team member the City of Portland's minimum wage which is currently $16.75/HR. The full-house tip pool model generates one tip pool and distributed out through a point system. The tip pool is split between all hourly positions at the restaurant and operated as a Level Up system. Once full trained, you enter the Tip Pool as a Level 1, earning 2-points less than the Level 2 role. Once the team member has been able to be fluent on all stations and approved by a leader, you are added in as a Level 2 team member.

Hourly rates once trained range in a Level 1 position = $23-25/HR; hourly rates in a Level 2 position - $24-$31+/HR.

If you have a passion for working in a kitchen with a minimum of 5-years of professional cooking experience, including as line cook please also first consider:
