Job Summary and Qualifications

This position requires competence in assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training, or experience.

  • Assists in the maintenance of all equipment in the department, including cleaning and minor repairs.
  • Facilitates departmental operations through completion of all patient logs, charge requisitions, and other paper work, either through the computer system or via a manual system.
  • Maintains safety precautions to minimize radiation exposure to patients, other personnel, and self.
  • Participates in quality control and performance improvement activities within the department.
  • Participates in rotating call system to provide continuous availability of services.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Posses knowledge of the PACS system, appreciates the overall image distribution concept for PACS.
  • Performs exam monitoring and patient information management.
  • Prepares patients appropriately for roentgenographic examination and fluoroscopy procedures as prescribed by patients' physician, in the department and in surgery or the Pain Management area.
  • Sets both mobile and stationary equipment for use.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography
  • Certificate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
