Position Title: Veterinary Technician

Organization: PAAC – People Assisting Animal Control

Location: Corpus Christi, TX 78415

PAAC is a high-volume, nonprofit spay/neuter and wellness veterinary clinic committed to providing accessible, affordable, and compassionate care to pets and families across South Texas. We believe that every pet deserves quality veterinary care, and that every pet parent deserves support. As we continue to grow our reach across the region, we're looking for a dedicated and hardworking Veterinary Technician to work in our surgical suite assisting surgeons with dentals and other workflow initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with dental procedures as directed.
  • Safely intubate animals for surgery and dental procedures.
  • Monitor patients under anesthesia, including tracking vital signs and adjusting anesthesia levels as needed.
  • Assist with spay/neuter surgical prep, such as shaving and aseptic scrubbing, as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring animals during recovery from anesthesia as needed.
  • Clean and sterilize surgical instruments, and prepare surgical packs.
  • Other duties as directed by the Veterinarian, Executive Director, and Lead Surgery Technician.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in business administration, veterinary practice management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a veterinary technician role.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $17-18/hr, commensurate with experience.
  • Medical insurance, paid time off, and 401k (3% matching).
