The ATC Sales Representative is an exempt, salaried, professional role responsible for prospecting for new business opportunities, both with existing customers and potential new customers, in the movement of equipment and vehicles.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their service needs; identifies and suggests services to meet those needs; demonstrates the functions and utility of ATC's services to customers based on their needs.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new services and/or service enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, sales, lost business, and any customer relationship problems.
- Provide Quarterly sales forecasts.
- Occasional travel to attend and represent ATC at conferences, conventions, trade shows, account reviews, etc.
- Prospect for new customers and new vehicle or equipment moves by a combination of lead generation efforts, cold-calling, and customer relationship development and maintenance.
- Be proficient in all aspects of the ATC transportation management software system or applicable required software.
- Adhere to operational policies, practices, and procedures to attain operating goals.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related CRM software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field OR
- At least five years of related experience required.
