Position Summary:

We are seeking skilled and reliable Concrete Finishers to join our growing team in Lincoln, NE. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely and efficiently, and collaborates well with others in a fast-paced construction environment. This role is essential in delivering high-quality concrete finishes on a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Place, smooth, and finish surfaces of poured concrete (floors, sidewalks, roads, curbs, foundations, etc.)
  • Set and align forms for concrete placement using levels, tape measures, and string lines
  • Operate hand and power tools such as trowels, screeds, floats, edgers, and saws
  • Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface
  • Patch voids and ensure a clean, professional finish
  • Follow project plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
  • Wear all required PPE and Vogt company shirts while on site
  • Support crew leads and superintendents with task completion and problem-solving

Qualifications:

  • Experience in concrete finishing (or similar construction trade) preferred
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and finishing techniques preferred
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather and lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is a plus
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
