Interior Finishes- Field Superintendent

The Field Superintendent provides overall direction on projects and ensures that constructability is reviewed and compliant. Responsible for encouraging and enforcing construction safety practices with all personnel and workforce.
Leads efficient logistics, planning, and baseline schedules are achieved, and projects are turned over timely and within the company's standard of quality. This includes maintaining a high-quality level of craftsman workforce and supervising skills.
The Field Superintendent must also be an exceptional communicator and arbitrator and will serve as the client's direct point of contact on projects. The Field Supervisor is expected to be a strong leader and must be able to effectively manage and remediate any onsite discrepancies or complications.
Field Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day job site activities including OSHA safety compliance.
- Direct field personnel according to the project plan and Twin Stone's management team and principles.
- Communicate issues, events, performance, and progress daily to the Project Administrator and Project Managers.
- Report any problems promptly to Project Management and work to facilitate the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Request advice and assistance from the Project Management and/or General Superintendent on matters pertaining to materials, sequencing, scheduling, and quality.
- Maintain material scheduled deliveries and inspections
- Assigning work orders and managing the workforce efficiently and productively.
- Work closely with Project Management, General Superintendent, Business Development, and Client to deliver on our contracted obligations.
- Works closely with shop and warehouse regarding production and material supply to project and arranges deliveries for receiving at job sites.
- Support field personnel to achieve completion of the project and maintain schedule and scope in accordance with contract terms.
- Understand the project plans, specifications, scope, and other related systems, drawings trade/compliance, etc.
- Order inspections and attend inspections. Obtains the necessary approval documents and reports accordingly.
- Verifies field conditions and work areas are within contract work parameters.
Scheduling
- Maintain the schedule and ensure that work performed is consistent with the contract and will meet or exceed client expectations.
- Update Project Schedule as needed.
Safety
- Review the project daily to ensure that all activities are being performed in accordance with all OSHA and governing requirements and the project site-specific safety plan.
- Report any job site hazard immediately.
- Ensure all company employees and subcontractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
- Promote safety, and enforce and mandate the use of proper personal protection equipment and tool protection devices.
- Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office area.
- Enforces workforce to keep a tidy and safe area of work.
Quality Management
- Ensure that all pertinent benchmarks for the project are established and inserted into the baseline schedule.
- Ensure that the inspections are approved, documented, and communicated to the project team.
- That the work is up to the company's standards and Client's satisfaction.
Administrative Management
- Complete daily reports and maintain logs of key activities, files, and shop drawings.
- Manage the quality and condition of all material deliveries
- Maintain required safety reporting and all other required files to Twin Stone's standards.
- Assist in organizing timely and accurate payroll from the workforce. Vendor and subcontractor invoicing to be validated and work with payroll for invoicing verification as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience related to construction fields.
- Each project has specific characteristics regarding size, complexity, sector, etc. which dictate the precise years of experience and industry knowledge necessary for success, above and beyond generic construction knowledge and experience.

- Must possess effective communication skills.
- Capable of dealing with ambiguity and tight work oversight.
- Able to read plans and construction documents.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage the many details necessary for successful construction.
- Millwork experience prefered.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take action confidently and decisively.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
