The new Clinical Director of Crisis and Recovery Services will lead this transformative model, overseeing both acute and substance use programs, with key leadership roles open for Clinical Managers across Detox, CSU, and WIC. About the role.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Manager to co-lead our Crisis Services Program, comprised of a Walk-In Crisis Center (WIC) and Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), a key component of Colorado's statewide crisis services initiative and contracted through Signal Behavioral Health. The WIC provides immediate assessment, intervention, disposition, and referral services for individuals of all ages experiencing a self-defined mental health crisis and the CSU serves both voluntary and involuntary clients with a qualifying mental health diagnosis and offers a full range of services including medication evaluation and administration, individual, group, and family therapy, case management, and coordinated discharge planning with referrals to outpatient or higher levels of care. The Clinical Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, clinical staff supervision, and coordination of referrals to both outpatient and higher levels of care, including inpatient and CSU services. This role requires a strong leader with crisis management and supervisory experience, working knowledge of M1 procedures, and a hands-on approach to supporting staff in a fast-paced, team-based environment. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and committed to compassionate, client-centered care.
Schedule. This is a full-time, onsite/in-person position based at our 24/7 Walk-In Crisis Center and will co-lead the Crisis program with responsibilities split between the front half (Sunday-Wednesday) and the back half (Wednesday-Saturday) of the week, utilizing a 4x10 schedule (day shift). Both sides of the week are currently available to choose from.
$7,000 Sign-On Bonus Available + an additional 12% of base pay stipend for Clinical Managers working in a 24/7 program *Sign-on Bonus not eligible for internal employees and re-hired employees within 90 days from separation. Sign-on Bonus is based on full-time (40 hours/week). Prorated if fewer than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on the first paycheck, 50% on the paycheck following the 6-month anniversary.
Salary for this role.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience and company equity.
- Licensed Psychologist: $119, $142,355.20 per year
- Licensed Therapist: $79, $109,220.80 per year
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.
Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).
Essential Functions:
- Manager Accountabilities: Lead employees, maintain team focus and direction. Hire, provide performance feedback and coaching, and fire employees in accordance with organizational guidance. Monitor work schedules and receive and approve requests for time off based on work volumes and staffing schedules. Communicate with external stakeholders related to team accountability. Cascade information from sr. leadership to lower levels in alignment with the organization's strategy and goals. Design and implement effective group and intergroup work and communication expectations. Define and monitor group-level performance indicators. Diagnose and resolve problems within and among work groups.
- Arrange appropriate training of staff to improve clinical skills, including providing clinical supervision to therapists and other team members as appropriate.
- Work cooperatively with all staff to provide a comprehensive range of services and ensure the smooth transition of clients from one service to another, including handling referrals and assignment of cases to therapist.
- Handle complaints from clients and community agencies in an efficient and satisfactory manner.
- Develop new services to meet unmet or underserved needs in the community.
- Ensure that clinical and fiscal paperwork and online clinical records are correctly and promptly completed.
- Interact with community agencies to improve services to clients and enhance the organization's image as a competent provider of mental health services and a committed and caring member of the community.
- Advocate for organization's services in the community and at the state level, as appropriate.
- Ensure that revenues to pay for services are documented and billable by the business office and that the funding source is known to the billing office.
- Understand and adhere to budget for program.
- Staff member will complete needed care coordination tasks for their assigned role.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in a license-eligible field.
- Licensure: Current Colorado licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist (PhD or PsyD). Licensure from another state is acceptable if the candidate is in the process of obtaining Colorado licensure and will receive it within 30 days of hire.
- Three years of experience working with the population served by the clinical area of responsibility, including administrative experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
- Treatment philosophy consistent with the organization's goals.
- Excellent management and communication skills.
- Trained and experienced in screening, assessment and treatment of mental health and substance abuse concerns.
Required Vaccination and TB Test.
At AMHR the health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priorities. As part of this commitment, all employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work. Proof of both the flu shot and negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.
