Responsibilities

  • Facilitate small group sessions that promote active learning, collaboration, and critical thinking among participants.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs and interests of your group, ensuring clarity and accessibility of content.
  • Create a welcoming environment that encourages open dialogue, questions, and diverse perspectives.
  • Assess student progress regularly through informal observations and feedback, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Support students in setting goals, overcoming challenges, and developing skills relevant to their academic or personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and progress for each student in your group.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators and other instructors to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
  • Uphold safety protocols and promote respectful behavior within the learning environment at all times.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with small groups in educational or training settings is highly desirable.
  • University experience or current enrollment is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with academic environments and student engagement techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and connect with diverse learners.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet varying learning styles and needs.
  • Enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning atmosphere that inspires confidence and curiosity in students.
