Logistics/Inventory/Asset Control Administrator

The Contractor shall be capable of performing the tasks &/or possess the skill sets listed below:

Logistics

  • Coordinate and monitor the movement of products, materials, and equipment between sites or to customers.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound shipments to optimize delivery timelines and minimize costs.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping and transportation regulations.
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight companies, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all logistics activities, including bills of lading and shipping manifests.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
  • Perform regular inventory counts (cycle counts and full audits) and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Analyze inventory trends and usage patterns to support procurement planning.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of inventory items.
  • Provide quarterly evaluation of current system warranties and ensure warranties are documented as to when they expire.

Asset Control

  • Track and manage company assets across multiple departments or locations.
  • Assign asset tags, record serial numbers, and maintain a detailed asset register.
  • Conduct regular asset audits to verify the presence, condition, and location of assets.
  • Coordinate asset movements, repairs, transfers, and disposals in compliance with Government guidelines and policy.

General Responsibilities

  • Generate reports when requested on stock levels, asset usage, and logistics KPIs for management review.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements in logistics and inventory workflows.
  • Ensure workplace safety and proper handling of materials.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Use Government-furnished asset and inventory management system (Sunflower) to log and track activities.
