Job Description

As a Security Officer Mall Patrol Driver in Westminster, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and keen observation will contribute to a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so you will need to navigate the property responsibly as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail or mall location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or security-related situations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits of the location.
• Support emergency response activities, including guiding visitors and staff during incidents.
• Work collaboratively with retail or mall staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and maintain a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
