What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail or mall location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required by site-specific procedures.
• Support the overall security-related operations of the retail or mall location as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
