We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. In this role, you will support physicians and clinical staff by preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with procedures. You'll also handle patient documentation, coordinate lab work, manage prescription requests, and ensure exam rooms are clean and well-stocked.

Job Overview

Responsible for performing a wide variety of clinical and front desk medical assistant duties in a fast-paced office setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Record vital signs and update patient charts
  • Assist with injections, lab specimen collection, and EKGs
  • Support physicians during procedures and patient education
  • Manage prescription refills and prior authorizations
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and supply inventory
  • Float to other offices and assist with front desk duties as needed

Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) certification program
  • Must hold current certification as a CMA, CCMA, or RMA through AAMA, AMT, NHA, NAHP, AAH, or equivalent

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a physician's office or hospital setting preferred
  • Familiarity with specific physician specialties is a plus
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in basic computer use and medical terminology
  • Clinical skills including phlebotomy, sterile technique, and lab procedures required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
