Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our litigation team. This position requires experience within the court systems of Virginia and a deep understanding of the processes and procedures related to litigation. This role requires strong organizational, proofreading and communication skills, with the ability to prepare legal documents, managing document production, and responding to discovery. The Paralegal/Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient case management and providing essential clerical support.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a litigation paralegal or in a legal support role is required.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to assist in drafting legal documents and correspondence, ensuring accuracy through proofreading.
  • Excellent scheduling and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools such as LexisNexis to gather relevant case information for new and ongoing cases.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
