Manufacturing Technician

Location: Minneapolis, MN (On-Site)

Pay: $75,000–$90,000 / year

About the Role

A growing manufacturing facility is looking for a Manufacturing Technician with strong hands-on skills in areas such as injection molding, LSR molding, rubber molding, CNC machining, automation systems, Lean/CI methods, and technical documentation. This role supports process development, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across production operations.

What You'll Do
  • Support production processes and equipment to meet quality, throughput, and uptime targets
  • Use problem-solving tools (DMAIC, 8D, A3) to troubleshoot defects and improve performance
  • Participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement efforts including 5S and kaizen
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, SOPs, and Work Instructions
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, WIs, process updates)
  • Train operators on correct procedures and safe operation of equipment
  • Support injection molding, LSR/rubber molding, CNC equipment, or automation systems depending on experience
  • Review new designs for manufacturability and assist with quoting and job planning
  • Conduct process and cost analysis to identify improvement opportunities
  • Balance urgent troubleshooting with long-term project work in a fast-paced environment
What You Need
  • 5+ years as a Manufacturing Technician, Engineering Technician, or related manufacturing role
  • Strong experience in fast-paced production environments
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and technical documentation
  • Experience with continuous improvement, documentation, and hands-on troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills; able to support production, quality, and engineering teams
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
