Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide high-quality support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor patient health, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with their daily routines and health needs. Prior experience in senior care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and overall health status
- Support residents with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and infection control practices
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Observe and report changes in patient conditions to healthcare professionals promptly
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to enhance residents' quality of life
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures
- Assist with documentation related to care plans, medication logs, and patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of ADLs assistance, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., resident transfers) while maintaining safety standards
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature to provide empathetic patient support
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various care environments
- Valid driver's license may be preferred for travel between client locations
This position is ideal for caring individuals committed to providing exceptional support while fostering independence and dignity for those they serve.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6.0 per week
