OBJECTIVE

We are a 31-year, family-run local trucking business with a great opportunity for a mechanic to join our family. We're looking to hire a mechanic, and or assist our shop foreman to do general repairs for our trucks and trailers. You would work along side two long-term team members willing to help train and support you. We take pride in having a family-friendly atmosphere where some of our team members have worked together for over 20 years. lf you want to work in a friendly, small, family-run business, come and talk to us.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Wages based on experiance

  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.
  • Repair, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric, and brake accessories).
  • Test drive vehicles and test components using proper equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair suspension systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, exhaust systems, steering systems, air conditioning, PTOs, and custom exhaust systems.
  • Adjust, remove, and replace clutches and drivelines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fifth wheels, trailer hitches, auxiliary axles, and frames.
  • Perform basic aluminum and steel wire welding (will train).
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Airbrake
  • General mechanical knowledge
  • Military/Experience
  • DOT certified or will send for training.
  • Utilize testing equipment and precision equipment
  • Utilize computer and scanner
  • Maintain perfect safety record
  • Willing to learn welding and fabrication
  • Ability to work on your feet
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • CDL helpful or we have training in house.
  • Opportunity for occasional mobile service truck runs
