Snowmaker – Mont du Lac Resort (Superior, WI)
Mont du Lac Resort in Superior, WI is hiring Snowmakers for Nov–Jan. Positions available on both day and night shifts. Located at 3125 S Mont Du Lac Dr. We are looking for motivated, hardworking, self-driven individuals who enjoy outdoor work.
Type: Part-time or Full-time Seasonal
Shifts: 12-hour rotating schedule (2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off)
Season: November through mid-January
Pay: $17–$18 DOE | OT available | Shift differential
Benefits: Free season pass + 30% off food/beverage + 30% off lodging
Role Overview
Snowmakers set up, operate, monitor, and maintain snowmaking systems to create a strong, high-quality snow base for early season skiing and riding. This role is physically demanding, outdoors in all conditions, and requires lifting, carrying, dragging, and moving hoses and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, move, and shut down snowmaking equipment
- Inspect and maintain snow guns, hoses, hydrants
- Drive trucks, ATVs, side-by-sides & snowmobiles safely in varied terrain
- Monitor snow quality and adjust equipment as needed
- Assist with snow removal and support Lift Ops when required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be 18+
- Able to lift 50 lbs / carry 40 lbs regularly (and push/pull heavier with assistance)
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain
- Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, all weather extremes
- Able to stand/kneel/bend for long periods and work on slippery uneven surfaces
Work Environment: This is a fully outdoor position in extreme winter conditions. Must remain alert, aware, and able to work safely with moving mechanical equipment.
