Overview

We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining and repairing marine vessels, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and customer service skills to provide top-notch service to our clients.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues effectively.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct rigging and assembly of various marine equipment as needed.
  • Execute welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify vessel components.
  • May need to communicate effectively with clients regarding their vessel's maintenance needs.
  • Handle heavy lifting as required during repairs and installations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a service technician in the marine industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in boat & jet ski maintenance and repair.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, including soldering skills for wiring repairs.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics related to marine systems.
  • Experience with rigging techniques and assembly processes for marine equipment.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to use marine lift, forklift & tractor for moving boats.
  • Qualified/experienced to work on Volvo-Penta, Mercury, Mercruiser, &/or Yamaha motors & willing to become certified. (Pay rate will be lower until certification is completed).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
