Director of Power Plant Development

Job Description:

  1. Responsible for the preliminary development, investment and financing, construction, and delivery of overseas power plant projects (wind, thermal, hydro, solar, etc.).
  2. Understand the project development processes, formulate and implement development plans for the assigned projects.
  3. Conduct market information collection, and analyze the market environment, legal environment, and investment environment in overseas markets.
  4. Evaluate the basic conditions of project areas, assess project development feasibility, and negotiate and sign project development agreements.
  5. Communicate with relevant local authorities and handle the necessary documentation for project approvals.
  6. Maintain good relationships with business partners and upstream and downstream clients.
  7. Participate in project initiation reviews and investment reviews, analyze and evaluate project boundary conditions and risks to ensure project returns, risks, and other factors meet company requirements.
  8. Oversee all tasks during the preliminary development, project application, and project approval processes.
  9. Coordinate with design institutes to complete feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, grid connection plans, and other related tasks.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end power plant projects (wind, thermal, hydro, solar, etc.).
  2. Ability to independently develop new energy projects.
  3. Strong skills in information gathering, communication, relationship building, business planning, business negotiation, and risk control.
  4. Possess government negotiation skills, stay updated on policies related to company business development, and effectively maintain and expand partnerships with overseas government agencies in line with company goals and directions.
  5. Willingness to adapt to frequent long-term business travel; preference given to candidates with extensive overseas work experience.
  6. Proficient in English as a working language, able to function in a fully English-speaking work environment.
