Contract HR Business Partner

We are seeking a candidate to work contract for a maternity leave position. This role will go thru mid January of 2026. This is hybrid position working downtown in the corporate HR department.
The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas related to the human resources field. Engagement will include working with learning and development, benefits, recruiting, and oversite of employee relations issues. We are looking for an overall Human Resources SME to report to the corporate HR director.
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals. This role partners with management to deliver HR solutions in the areas of employee relations, talent management, performance, compensation, and workforce planning while ensuring compliance and promoting a positive, high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with department leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives and workforce needs.
- Provide guidance on organizational design, talent development, and succession planning to ensure strong leadership pipelines.
- Advise and coach managers on performance management, employee relations, and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) in recruiting, learning & development, benefits, and compensation to deliver comprehensive HR support.
- Conduct investigations and manage employee relations issues with discretion, fairness, and compliance.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to recommend proactive solutions for turnover, engagement, and workforce optimization.
- Support annual HR processes including performance reviews, compensation planning, and goal setting.
- Lead change management and communication strategies to ensure smooth implementation of HR programs and organizational changes.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a business partner or generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to influence leaders and build credibility across all organizational levels.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience with HRIS platforms (Oracle) and data-driven decision-making.
