As a Security Guard - Government Site Patrol Unarmed in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and thorough routine patrols. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Work in accordance with Allied Universal standards while adapting to the unique requirements of a government environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public as needed during patrols and interactions.
• Complete required reports and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are present.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
