We serve those entities across an array of projects, offering consultation on technology utilization, design solutions for electrical and mechanical systems, public health systems, and equipment procurement and construction-phase services.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and assisting with close processes. This position is central to maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal accounting policies, and external audit requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Own key accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely general ledger activity
• Accounts Receivable – generate invoices and process cash receipts
• Accounts Payable – post bills/expenses and process/record payments
• Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial integrity
• Maintain thorough documentation to support audit readiness and transparency
• Assist in the development of process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
• Assist in researching activities in the accounting records
• Build cross-functional relationships to understand business activity and ensure accurate accounting treatment
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting
• Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Online
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Inherent curiosity to understand the business beyond the books and connect numbers to impact
• Clear, confident communicator with the ability to explain the "why" behind the numbers
• Experience with Deltek VantagePoint

Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• General understanding of the professional services industry

Skills:

• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Analytical thinking and sound judgment in applying accounting principles
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
