Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Ultrasound Technologist to join our onsite care team in Leavenworth, Kansas on a PRN, or part-time basis. This role is ideal for a sonographer who is confident practicing independently and motivated by the opportunity to be part of a progressive, prevention-focused healthcare model.

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will work closely with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, and care coordinators—to help develop and deliver strategies that leverage ultrasound as part of comprehensive, preventive health care. Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality cardiovascular ultrasound screenings, based on clinical indications and preventive screening protocols.
  • Support the integration of imaging into preventive care workflows, identifying early indicators of disease and working with the care team to intervene early.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure that all imaging is conducted safely and accurately, in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, reduce anxiety, and support a positive care experience.
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and other team members to review cases, optimize workflows, and contribute to ongoing innovation in care delivery.
  • Document procedures and findings thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate in internal discussions and planning around how ultrasound can support broader population health and chronic disease prevention goals.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification to perform echocardiograms in alignment with clinical and billing standards.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Current certification by ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or equivalent.
  • Active Kansas license or eligibility to practice as a sonographer.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and/or cardiac ultrasound certification (RDCS or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing independent diagnostic ultrasound exams.
  • Strong clinical judgment, patient communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in an onsite clinical setting.
  • Interest in or experience with preventive health strategies and collaborative care models.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in vascular (RVT), or other specialty areas.
  • Experience in outpatient or interdisciplinary care settings.
  • Engagement in innovative or nontraditional healthcare models.
  • Passion for building systems that support long-term patient health and wellness.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience and certification level. Estimated Pay is $48-$52 per hour.
