Overview
We are seeking an energetic and visionary Senior Director to lead our Human Resources and organizational strategy initiatives. As a Senior Director, you will oversee comprehensive HR functions, including benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS systems management. Your leadership will drive innovation in talent management, operational excellence, and regulatory adherence across all levels of the organization.
Duties
- Develop and execute strategic HR initiatives that support organizational growth, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.
- Lead the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), workers' compensation, and retirement plans using systems like Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or UltiPro.
- Oversee HRIS systems such as Workday, Lawson, Dayforce, ADP, Paylocity, Kronos, and Ceridian to ensure data accuracy and system functionality for payroll processing, benefits management, and regulatory reporting.
- Manage compliance with employment laws including labor law regulations and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), ensuring policies are up-to-date and effectively communicated across the organization.
- Supervise payroll operations utilizing platforms like ADP or Paylocity to guarantee timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Lead employee relations efforts by addressing workplace issues through effective communication skills and negotiation strategies; foster a culture of transparency and trust.
- Oversee employee orientation programs, training & development initiatives to enhance workforce skills and promote career growth.
- Conduct regular employee evaluations to support performance management processes aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with legal teams on contracts related to employment agreements and vendor negotiations related to HR services.
- Utilize data analysis skills for workforce planning by collecting and analyzing HR metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements such as Medicare reporting and other federal/state mandates.
- Manage cross-functional projects involving recruiting using platforms like Salesforce or recruiting modules within HRIS systems; oversee onboarding processes for new hires.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes by leveraging ERP systems such as SAP SuccessFactors or PeopleSoft for streamlined operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in human resources leadership roles with a focus on benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS management.
- Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law regulations including FMLA, HIPAA, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), and other relevant legal frameworks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively across various stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects involving contracts, regulatory reporting, and data analysis.
- Proficiency with HR technology platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, Lawson, UltiPro, SAP SuccessFactors or equivalent ERP systems; experience with payroll systems like ADP or Paylocity is essential.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and benefits administration best practices.
- Ability to lead training & development programs that enhance organizational capability.
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment requiring strategic thinking combined with detailed execution skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field; advanced certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are preferred.
