Job Title: Paralegal - Attorney and Litigation Support

Reports To: Supervising Attorney

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Date: December 10, 2025

Summary: Responsible preparing client files to achieve the best possible settlement, regardless of whether the case goes to trial, by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Communicates with all involved parties in a timely manner, performs factual research, analyzes documents, drafts pleadings and supporting documentation, coordinates document production, and analyzes insurance, medical, and third-party recoveries.

  2. Sets expectations and provides guidance to clients, instilling confidence in the firm and team.

  3. Develops case strategy with and provides case reviews to supervisor.

  4. Identifies cases' relevant parties, liabilities, and issues.

  5. Reviews files at inception or upon receipt for updating.

  6. Collects, analyzes, organizes, and maintains factual information and documents in accordance with correct legal practices, procedures, and firm protocols.

  7. Obtains, analyzes, and summarizes medical records.

  8. Prepares legal documents including affidavits, pleadings, briefs, and legal correspondence.

  9. Prepares and answers interrogatories and responds to requests for documents.

  10. Prepares and files pleadings, motions, and other documents with the court as directed.

  11. Prepares pre-trial memos and arbitration notebooks and mediation position statements.

  12. Manages, records, and organizes all discovery and trial data, including exhibits, and prepares and maintains trial notebooks.

  13. Locates witnesses.

  14. Summarizes testimonies and transcripts.

  15. Drafts settlement documentation including demand letters, powers of attorney, settlement statements, and releases.

  16. Develop and maintain a working relationship with clients to ensure the expeditious gathering of facts and information necessary for litigation or settlement activities.

  17. Directs and coordinates law office activity for team, including subpoenas, police reports, and medical records.

  18. Performs Paralegal Case Manager Job duties as needed.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or organization employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Case Management Systems such as Aderant Total Office.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) From four-year College or university, and two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

Paralegal certification preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $75,000.00 per year
