Duties

  • Installs and repairs Active and Passive Optical Network systems in compliance with company technical standards from consumer service to exterior drop location.

  • Able to work flexible hours as required, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record

  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

  • 2 years' experience as a field service technician

  • Electrical or industry certifications

  • Responsible for motor vehicle per company policy including equipment & tool inventory, vehicle security and vehicle maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned - which may include training other employees

Skills

  • Proficient in fiber splicing techniques and low voltage installations.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking principles and practices..
  • Familiarity with cabling standards and practices, including Ethernet technologies.
  • Mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Previous experience as a service technician in the telecommunications field is preferred.
