Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist customers in selecting products, offering detailed product demos to highlight features and benefits.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
  • Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while meeting customer needs.
  • Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and stock replenishment to enhance store presentation.
  • Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring all items are correctly priced and organized according to store standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
  • Conduct basic retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and inventory management.
  • Support cashiering duties with accuracy and attention to detail during busy periods.
  • Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking, receiving shipments, and organizing back stock.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to store policies and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth store operations.
  • Provide friendly assistance in a bilingual capacity if applicable, ensuring inclusivity for diverse customers.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demos effectively.
  • Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in future growth opportunities within the team.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a broader customer base.
  • Excellent phone etiquette skills for remote customer interactions or inquiries.
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role.
