Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Transport goods to designated locations following planned routes and schedules
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management, moving supplies, and organizing storage areas
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance needs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
  • Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, vehicle handling, and warehouse procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles
  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for tractor-trailers or heavy haul)
  • Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate manual transmissions and heavy equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
  • Experience with various commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, tankers, tow trucks, or limousines is preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
  • Physical ability to load & unload cargo repeatedly and handle heavy equipment safely
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy haul, freight transport, or school bus driving is a plus
  • Prior warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory
