Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, the Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct physical therapy services for patients in Geriatric Services or for inpatient and outpatient in the acute care facility as prescribed by a physician and reviewed by the Licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient's established plan of care
- In collaboration with a Licensed Physical Therapist, organizes patient care and general activities to accomplish required functions.
- Assists in provision of individualized patient care in collaboration with a Licensed Physical Therapist responsible for coordinating the patient's care with the health care team.
- Documents all aspects of patient care according to standards.
- Performs patient care activities proficiently.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) in the state of Texas
- Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a hospital/IPR/skilled setting required; no new grads
- Must be able to pick up two weekend shifts a month (start time flexible)
