Join Our Corporate Development Team
Akamai's Corporate Development team is responsible for driving strategic focus, executing on the Company's acquisition and strategic investment strategies, leading integrations, and enhancing our innovation capabilities. You will work closely with Akamai's senior executives, and Division and Business unit leadership in executing the Company's vision.
Partner with the best
You will participate in all stages of Corporate Development activity and contribute to the deal execution team. You will work with the Corporate Development team to build business-cases to propose and execute acquisitions, investments, and partnerships. You will focus on valuation analysis and financial modeling of potential acquisitions.
As a Manager - Corporate Development, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying potential new acquisition opportunities linked to our key strategic priorities, and contributing to the development of business cases for acquisitions, investments, and partnerships
- Performing valuation analysis and financial modeling of potential acquisitions and supporting cross-functional teams to conduct thorough evaluations in the diligence process
- Working on specific due diligence activities primarily on proving (or disproving) our acquisition hypotheses (in conjunction with other Akamai team members)
- Collaborating with the integration team to plan diligence activities, timelines, workstreams, etc.
- Leading specific standalone work projects related to key strategic initiatives, including research assignments, transaction analyses, and ad hoc analyses
- Participating in strategic reviews of different markets to evaluate new business opportunities
- Compiling quarterly reports and tracking completed acquisitions and investments for the board of directors
Do What You Love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree
- Have experience within Investment Banking, Financial Services Advisory, Strategy Consulting, Venture Capital, Corporate Development or Business Development
- Have a solid understanding of financial statements and accounting, particularly as they relate to M&A
- Have an understanding of M&A process, with a keen interest for technology
- Have demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in time sensitive situations and highly dynamic environments
- Have high proficiency and experience with Excel and Microsoft Suite

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $101,400 - $210,600/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
