We're looking for an experienced Construction Site Quality Specialist to join a project team supporting substation operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the field, values flexibility, and takes pride in maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Location: Local candidates only
Travel: Required 2–4 times per week (based on project needs)
Schedule: As-needed between 8 AM – 5 PM
Expenses Covered: Hotel, food, and mileage (in line with expense policy)
What You'll Do:
- Escort vendors and personnel in substations to ensure adherence to all safety and operational procedures.
- Provide guidance and "teachable moments" when needed — fostering safety and compliance in real time.
- Report and document any incidents during substation visits.
- Maintain strong situational awareness and professionalism while representing the team in the field.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Electrical Worker certification (required).
- Proven substation field experience — this is a must.
- Experience mentoring or coaching others in a technical environment.
- Ability to be on call and work up to 8 hours a day (with possible overtime).
- Strong attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and a "get it done safely" mindset.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or higher (required).
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on field inspection or related substation experience, ideally in the energy or utilities sector.
- Must be comfortable driving a personal or company vehicle for site visits (expenses reimbursed).
- Overnight travel may be required occasionally based on project needs.
This position offers a great balance of independence and teamwork, with the opportunity to make a real impact on field safety and compliance. If you're a detail-oriented professional who enjoys being out in the field and mentoring others, this could be an excellent fit.
