Our technical staff is certified through ACI, VDOT, ICC and NICET and is multi-disciplined in soils and concrete to enable us to manage large projects with the same technical staff ensuring continuity throughout each project.

Zannino Engineering Inc. is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Construction Materials Testing Technicians. In this role, you will play a vital part in evaluating construction materials at active job sites, ensuring that our clients, including designers, owners, and the general public, can have confidence in the excellence of their facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experiments and tests, collecting and analyzing data meticulously. Testing will primarily focus on soil, concrete, and masonry materials, with the potential for expansion to include asphalt, structural steel, and Exterior Insulation and Finishing Systems (EIFS).
  • Utilize hand tools for the assembly and disassembly of equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers in the execution of experiments and tests.
  • Maintain precise records of all work conducted.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in the use of both hand and power tools.
  • Ability to interpret and work from building plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to work closely with engineers and team members.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently and manage task priorities efficiently.

As an Technician, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for data collection and experiment assistance. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical skills, proficiency with hand tools, and a sharp eye for detail. Effective communication is also crucial for successful collaboration with engineers and team members.

Consideration for senior technician status will be given to candidates holding current certifications with organizations such as ACI, VDOT (in soil, concrete, or asphalt), ICC, and NICET LV-II. We offer comprehensive hands-on training to both entry-level and experienced technicians for all assignments.

Candidates must have a clean driving record (positive points on their DMV record) and be able to work in a drug-free environment.
