Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Meridian, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials and permitting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and loading docks to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and access control events as required by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Assist with visitor management by issuing badges and maintaining visitor records in accordance with site protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support logistics operations as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
