We believe food is a basic human right and partner with organizations, community leaders, and neighbors to improve food security while addressing root causes of hunger. The Food Security Engagement Coordinator will support the work of the Food Security Engagement Teama group of community leaders and partners working together to increase access to nutrition programs. This role will ensure smooth coordination of team meetings, manage communications and member engagement, and help connect new partners to the groups efforts. The coordinator will also assist with community events and outreach opportunities that build awareness of food security resources. The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-centered, and passionate about building relationships that strengthen food security across the state. Duties and responsibilities may evolve to meet current and future program needs. **Principle Duties and Responsibilities:** **Engagement Team Coordination (70%)** Schedule and coordinate regular meetings (virtual and in-person) for the Food Security Engagement Team. Draft and distribute agendas, take clear meeting notes, and ensure timely follow-up on action items. Maintain accurate member lists, contact information, and communication channels. Reach out to potential new members, partners, and stakeholders to expand the teams reach and impact. **Community Engagement Support (30%)** Assist in planning and supporting food securityfocused community events, workshops, and outreach activities. Help create and share communications that keep partners and community members informed and engaged. Collect and organize resources, stories, and updates from partners that highlight food security efforts across the state. Serve as a friendly, reliable point of contact for community leaders and partners engaged in this work. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** Strong organizational and project coordination skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience coordinating meetings, note-taking, and managing group communication (email, Teams/Zoom, shared drives, etc.). Comfort in outreach, relationship-building, and engaging new partners. Interest in food security, community partnerships, and nutrition programs. Culturally responsive and able to work effectively with diverse communities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with virtual meeting tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.). **Work Environment & Physical Requirements** This work is performed primarily in an office environment while sitting at a computer terminal for extended periods of time. May involve periodic lifting and carrying of items that may weigh up to 50 pounds. May work outside normal working hours and drive own vehicle for various projects on a daily basis. **Food Safety:** Commit to upholding policies, principles and best practices for food safety.
