Assisted Living Director (Licensed ALD) – New Facility Leadership Role
Job Type: Part-Time to Full-Time (Hybrid)
Location: Minnesota (On-site & Remote Flexibility)
Compensation: Competitive, Based on Experience
License Required: Active Assisted Living Director (ALD) License in Minnesota
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a leadership role in Assisted Living, Group Homes, or Long-Term Care
About the Role
We're looking for a passionate, licensed Assisted Living Director (ALD) to join our leadership team and help launch our brand-new assisted living home in Minnesota. The home is secured, the vision is clear, and we're ready to build a high-quality, resident-centered program — and we need the right leader to help bring it all together.
This is a unique opportunity to help build a program from the ground up. You'll play a key role in licensing, development, and team building — then transition into overseeing full operations and ongoing resident care.
What You'll Do
Development Phase (Pre-Opening):
- Lead licensing and setup in accordance with Minnesota Statute 144G
- Develop staffing plans, care models, and facility policies
- Assist in hiring and onboarding team members
- Collaborate with leadership on timelines, safety protocols, and compliance
Operations Phase (Post-Opening):
- Oversee daily operations of the assisted living home
- Supervise caregivers, administrative, and nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with DHS and state regulations
- Manage resident care plans, assessments, and documentation
- Lead training, safety drills, and medication protocols
- Foster a warm, respectful, and supportive living environment
Who You Are
- Licensed Assisted Living Director (ALD) in Minnesota (required)
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Residential Services
- Familiar with MN ALD compliance and regulations (Statute 144G)
- Strong in communication, documentation, and team leadership
- Compassionate, dependable, and driven to build something meaningful
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative leadership team
Schedule & Work Model
- Part-time during the setup and licensing phase
- Transitioning to full-time as the home opens and grows
- Hybrid flexibility: some in-person presence required, with remote work available based on program needs
