Job Description

As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Driver in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required as you conduct routine patrols throughout the property. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized access within the location.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual circumstances to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Assist employees, visitors, and/or clients with directions, information, and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client protocols, procedures, and training related to security-related operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
