Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Lead Restoration Technician specializing in water mitigation.

This role leads crews in the field, manages drying operations per IICRC S500 standards, performs detailed documentation using MICA or Mitigate, and ensures every job transitions cleanly to the rebuild phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site mitigation & scoping: Identify water category/class, affected materials, and safety/containment needs.
• Execute drying plans: Set up, monitor, and adjust air movers and dehumidifiers based on psychrometric data until dry standards are achieved.
• Document accurately: Capture moisture readings, equipment logs, and daily job photos using MICA or Mitigate platforms for TPA and insurance compliance.
• Ensure containment & IAQ control: Install barriers, HEPA filtration, and antimicrobial applications as needed.
• Oversee demolition & debris management while maintaining OSHA and EPA Lead-Safe RRP compliance.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, and internal teams to ensure smooth handoff for rebuild.
• Mentor field techs and uphold AZCR's safety, quality, and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in water mitigation or property restoration, with leadership or crew-lead experience.
• Familiarity with IICRC S500 drying standards, moisture mapping, and psychrometric calculations.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and demolition best practices.
• Proficiency in MICA or Mitigate software for drying logs and TPA documentation.
• Clean Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Willingness to participate in rotational on-call schedules for emergency events.

Preferred/Plus

• IICRC Certifications: WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician), ASD (Applied Structural Drying), AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation).
• EPA Lead-Safe RRP certification.
• Familiarity with TPA/insurance programs (e.g., Contractor Connection, Brightserve, Sedgwick).
• Experience supervising techs or subcontractors on mitigation projects.
