We're looking for an MES Support Engineer to serve as the first point of contact for diagnosing and resolving MES and SAP integration issues on a robot-driven, component-heavy production line. You'll monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain SAP ME/MII/PCo systems integrated with S4/HANA, ensuring seamless data flow and uptime across manufacturing operations.

You'll play a critical role keeping advanced robotic manufacturing systems running smoothly — solving complex system issues in real time and ensuring seamless integration between MES and SAP environments.

Ideal for someone who thrives in discrete manufacturing (robotics, semiconductor, or packaging), this role blends hands-on system troubleshooting with collaboration across production, IT, and engineering teams.

As An MES Support Engineer, You'll

  • Provide front-line MES/SAP ME/MII support during live production operations.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and resolve integration and data flow issues between MES, S4/HANA, and PLC systems.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to restore functionality and maintain line stability.
  • Document root causes, implement fixes, and support continuous improvement of MES reliability.
  • Monitor key system health metrics and ensure accurate data capture across production processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering is highly preferred, though we will consider candidates with equivalent hands-on experience supporting MES/SAP systems in production environments.
  • 4+ years of MES experience in manufacturing
  • 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting with SAP ME/MII/PCo (must be able to describe real examples). 4 or more years is preferred.
  • Understanding of S4/HANA integration in manufacturing environments.
  • Background in discrete or process manufacturing (automotive, robotics, semiconductor, pharma, or packaging).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset and calm under production pressure.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SAP EAM, OPC UA, or other industrial protocols.
