Staff Accountant – AC Hotel by Marriott Pasadena
Pasadena, CA | $85,000–$90,000 + Monthly Performance Bonus
About the Hotel:
The AC Hotel by Marriott Pasadena is a brand-new, 194-room lifestyle hotel that officially opened in April 2025. Featuring a rooftop bar with stunning city views, modern design, and a focus on elevated guest experiences, we bring a fresh, design-forward hospitality destination to the heart of Pasadena.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant with hotel accounting experience—Marriott experience is strongly preferred—to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting all hotel accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You will work closely with the Controller, General Manager, and hotel leadership to help drive financial performance and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting functions: AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly P&L statements, forecasts, and budgets
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, Marriott brand standards, and local/state/federal regulations
- Support credit, billing, and cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with all hotel departments to optimize financial performance
- Assist in audits and ownership reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records
Must-Have Requirements:
- Minimum 2–5 years of hotel accounting experience
- Marriott experience preferred (Any Hotel Experience Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience working with hotel property management and accounting systems

- FOSSE (Marriott PMS)
- M3 (Hospitality Accounting)
- QuickBooks
- ADP (Payroll/HR)
- BirchStreet (Purchasing/Procurement)
- Micros/Oracle (POS)
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced level)
