About the Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for construction projects.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
  • Monitor project cash flow, job cost analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with project managers and executives to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Supervise accounting staff and ensure timely processing of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and financial institutions.
  • Support strategic planning and growth initiatives through financial modeling and analysis.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in financial management, with at least 3 years prfeferably in construction, distribution or heavy civil industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE) and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Background
  • Experience managing financial operations.
  • Familiarity with DOT compliance and multi-state tax regulations.
  • Candidates from reputable heavy civil or general contractors are highly regarded.
