Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide support in all aspects of estate planning and probate administration. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, and capable of managing a wide variety of administrative and legal support tasks in a small-office setting.

Responsibilities

· Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and client forms.

· Manage client files (both physical and electronic), including document organization and data entry.

· Assist with Connecticut probate court filings.

· Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and financial institutions.

· Maintain the attorney's calendar, track deadlines, and schedule client appointments.

· Handle mail, scanning, and document management.

· Assist with drafting estate planning documents.

· Perform general administrative and office support duties as needed.

Qualifications

· Prior experience in a law office or legal support role preferred.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).

· Familiarity with TurboCourt and WealthCounsel is helpful but not required.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.

· Professional demeanor, punctuality, and willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
