WAREHOUSE CLERK I POSITION SUMMARY

The Authority is currently recruiting a Warehouse Clerk to join our team. Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, theWarehouse Clerk plays a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations by ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient material handling, and timely order processing. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing goods while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Warehouse Clerk works closely with team members and supervisors to ensure products are handled accurately, documentation is completed correctly, and all procedures align with organizational standards for quality and efficiency.

WAREHOUSE CLERK I PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is moderately exposed to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The ability to lift 50 pounds or more is required of this position. Daily shifts will endure various degrees of walking, standing, turning, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling, requiring a full range of body movements. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.

WAREHOUSE CLERK I ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily mail delivery and pickup across designated areas.
• Receive and verify incoming Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Maintain proper organization, labeling, and binning of all company materials.
• Receive, store, and track stock items in accordance with warehouse procedures.
• Issue stock items to departments as requested, ensuring prompt and accurate fulfillment.
• Review requisitions and transfer stock from the main warehouse to requesting departments.
• Replenish and move stock between the Main Warehouse and Satellite Warehouses as needed.
• Load, unload, and transport materials safely using warehouse equipment, including electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Utilize Ungerboeck software to record and monitor inventory across the GWCC campus.
• Perform courier and delivery duties in support of the Purchasing Department.
• Assist with other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Manager or Director.

WAREHOUSE CLERK I KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory and warehouse management systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage, and promptly report discrepancies to management.
• Demonstrated reliability, thoroughness, and follow-through in completing assigned tasks.
• Cooperative attitude with a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team-oriented environment.

WAREHOUSE CLERK I EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or distribution.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferred.
