Responsibilities

  • Construction job cost accounting is a must
  • Enter and process Overhead and Subcontractor accounts payable
  • Collect and maintain Subcontractor required documentation
  • Coding, data entry, and reconciliation of credit cards
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Post client payments
  • Maintain and process all lien releases, claims, and notices
  • Understanding of Lien Waivers, Texas Lien Law and Pay Day Law
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, Sub-contractors, and employees
  • Verify supporting documentation for daily invoice processing, to include reviewing invoices for accuracy, appropriate approval, and general ledger/cost coding.
  • Investigate and reconcile vendor statements, resolving outstanding aging invoices in a timely manner.
  • Answer inquiries from employees and outside vendors regarding accounts payable and related matters.
  • Administrative Duties - including but not limited to: scanning, filing, taking calls, assisting in other departments

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have at least 1 year in the construction industry
  • Must have at least 3 years Accounts Payable experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a good understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to solve issues based on solid data analysis and well-developed critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks, maintain an organized work area, and meet required deadlines.
  • Experience with accounting software a plus.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53, $60,000.00 per year
