Job Summary

Our company is located in Newport Beach, near Hoag Hospital, offers Orange County's Highest Quality Obstetrical and Gynecological Care. We are currently pursuing a search for the ideal candidate as our new Medical Assistant to mostly help with back office check out. Our growing practice consists of two full time OB/GYN physicians, physician assistants, ultrasound services 5 days/week, and full time supportive staff employees all located in beautiful Newport Beach, CA.

This busy OB/GYN practice is looking to add a "Credentialed Medical Assistant". This position is full-time. We are looking for someone with a great attitude and prior experience as a Medical Assistant in an OB/GYN setting. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Checking patients out and back office support
  • Rooming Patients
  • Obtaining Vitals
  • Giving Injections
  • Assisting Physicians
  • Phone Triage
  • Scheduling Appointments, and any other duties as assigned.
  • Verifying insurance authorizations, scheduling surgeries and inductions
  • Helping with ordering tests and check out of patients
  • Promote excellent customer service, problem solving and timely follow up
  • Promote patient satisfaction and patient communication
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications,Skills and Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant Certification required
  • EMR ( Nautilus/NextGen ) experience RECOMMENDED
  • Prior OB/GYN / experience REQUIRED
  • Candidate must have experience working in high volume practice which caters to 80+ patients per day.
  • Minimum of 1 year prior experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Prior OB GYN/Family Medicine/Internal Medicine experience preferred
  • Prior scheduling
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent prior work references
  • Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
